How to Use a Belkin F5D8053 Wireless Network Adapter With an Xbox 360

Connecting your Xbox 360 to your Belkin wireless network adapter involves using the controls that are built into the Xbox 360. All versions of the Xbox 360 released since 2008 come with wireless networking capabilities built-in. If you have an original model Xbox 360 you will need to purchase a special network adapter to unlock these wireless capabilities.

Instructions

    • 1

Verify that your wireless adapter is connected to your console (if applicable). If you have a larger, older model Xbox 360, the separate wireless adapter should be connected to the wireless adapter input on the rear of the console. The green indicator lights on the adapter should also be illuminated.

    • 2

      Turn on your Xbox 360.

    • 3

Choose "Xbox Live" from the Xbox 360 menu. Xbox Live is the name of Microsoft's online service for the console. Because your console is not yet connected to your network, you will be unable to connect to the Xbox Live service. A screen asking you to select from a list of available networks will appear.

Highlight and select the name of your Belkin F5D8053 wireless network. Use your controller to enter your Belkin wireless password to access the Internet on your Xbox 360.
