How to Save XBox 360 Memory Onto a USB Drive

All game data, downloadable content and multimedia files (including music, videos and photos) are stored on one of the many Xbox 360 storage devices (such as the internal memory, Memory Unit or official hard drive). You can transfer Xbox 360 data from any memory device connected to the Xbox 360 onto a USB flash drive large enough to contain the files.

Instructions

  1. Transfer All Content At Once

    • 1

Turn off the Xbox. Connect the flash drive to any of the Xbox 360's USB ports. Turn on the Xbox.

    • 2

Use the directional pad to scroll to the "My Xbox" tab. Select "System Settings."

    • 3

Select "Memory." Select the device that has the content you want to move (such as the Hard Drive). Press the "Y" button.

    • 4

Select "USB Storage Device" as the transfer-to device. Select "Start" to begin the transfer.

    Transfer Individual Files

    • 5

Turn off the Xbox. Connect the flash drive to any of the Xbox 360's USB ports. Turn on the Xbox.

    • 6

Use the directional pad to scroll to the "My Xbox" tab. Select "System Settings."

    • 7

Select "Memory." Select the device that has the content you want to move (such as the Hard Drive). Select the type of content you want to transfer (such as Profiles, Demos or Videos).
