How to Unlock the Quest in the Spire in Fable 2

In "Fable II," your task is to gather a band of legendary followers who must stop the deranged King Lucien's plans before the land of Albion is destroyed. King Lucien is building a giant structure in the middle of the ocean called the Tattered Spire. He plans to use this Spire to harness a massive amount of magical energy. You must get to the Spire, where Lucien awaits. To do so, you must first compete in a stadium-style battle known as the Crucible.

Instructions

  Play through the game until you receive a notification for the "The Crucible" quest. The Crucible is located just outside of Westcliff.

  Speak to Mad-Dog at the entrance to the Crucible. If your Renown level is high enough, you are allowed inside. If not, raise your Renown by completing side quests, and then return.

  Wait until you are called inside to battle. In the stadium, you must battle through eight rooms filled with different kinds of enemies. Every room has three rounds, and each is progressively harder than the last.

  Win the final battle to complete the quest. After you are released from the battlefield, head down to the Westcliff docks.

  Speak with the ship owner at the harbor. If you agree to go to the Tattered Spire, you leave behind your armor and weapons, and then climb aboard the ship. This begins the Tattered Spire quest segment of the game.
