Instructions
Press "Start" to pause the game. In the pause menu, select "Quests/Maps," select "Regions," select "Brightwood" and select "Brightwood Tower." You will now be transported to Brightwood Tower.
Run up the steps of Brightwood Tower, killing any enemies that may try to stop you. At the top of the tower you will see a blue-glowing portal. To the left of the portal is a railing with a large hole in the middle of it. Run toward the hole and you will automatically jump off the top of the tower and into an area known as Archon's Knot.
Swim to the steps in front of you and walk forward through the hallway. Keep walking straight until you come to a closed door. Equip your pistol or rifle and shoot the white glowing orb to the top-right of the closed door. Shoot another white glowing orb that is located inside a hole on the right wall of the room. This will open the door in front of you. Once open, travel through the door and keep climbing the stairs until you come across a floor with spike traps.
Shoot the white glowing orb located on the left wall. This orb will travel to the door to the right of the room. Run across the trapped floor in an attempt to cross the areas that will not pop up spikes. If you get hit, run either left or up to see if the floor will not pop the spikes up. Once you have made it through the trapped floor, hit the orb by the door with your melee weapon to open the door in front of you. Keep running straight, which will lead you down the hallways and up the stairs. Continue until you come to another trapped floor with a blue switch in front of it.
Step on the blue switch. This will show a cut-scene of a statue moving to a different position. Go out of the room and back down two flights of stairs. Enter the room at the end of the second set of stairs and walk up to the green-glowing statue. Press the right bumper on your controller to bring up the expression wheel. With your left thumbstick, select the "Scary" expression category and press "A" and select the "Bloodlust Roar" and press and hold "A." Keep holding "A" until the white dot in the expression meter lands in the middle of the meter when it is yellow. Once accomplished, run back up the two flights of stairs to the trapped room.
Hit the glowing orb with your melee weapons located above the blue panel in the trapped room. Run across the trapped floor to the other glowing orb located to the right of the room. Hit it with your melee weapon and follow the orb as it travels to the northern part of the room. Hit it again with your melee weapon and run to the door located to the left of the room. Hit the orb once more with your melee weapon and collect the silver key located near the corner of the door. The door will now open. Once open, run through it and up two flights of stairs.
Walk straight when you reach the top of the second set of stairs. Open the treasure chest located to the left of the room by pressing "A." You will find a "Cursed Warrior's Augment" inside the chest, which can be used to make other weapons more powerful. Walk straight and up a set of stairs to come to a large door. Hold down "A" at the door to open up the door to Brightwood. Walk to your right and you will see a treasure chest on the edge of a cliff. Hold "A" to open it and you will receive the legendary katana, the Daichi.
