You are playing a game on your Xbox and suddenly, the system shuts down and you are left with nothing but a red ring where the green ring used to be. After unplugging all of the cords from the Xbox and then plugging them back in, nothing happens and you still see the red ring blinking. You have caused the red ring of death on your Xbox and the system must be sent in for repairs. There are a few things that can cause of the red ring of death. Sometimes the system dies because of faulty wiring or soldering. More often than not, constant overheating of the system warps the interior and kills your Xbox. Poor ventilation and irregular cleaning maintenance can also kill your Xbox.
