XBox 360 Wireless Adaptor Installation

The New Xbox 360 comes with built-in Wi-Fi features allowing the console to create a wireless connection to Xbox Live. The original Xbox 360, however, did not include Wi-Fi out of the box. If you own the latter, you must purchase Microsoft's wireless adapter for the Xbox 360 if you want to get a wireless connection. Like all console accessories, the adapter's installation requires little effort, acting as a plug-and-play device. Properly connect and mount the adapter to finish installing it to your Xbox 360.

Instructions

    • 1

      Turn off the Xbox 360.

    • 2

Plug the adapter's USB cable into the Xbox 360's rear USB port above the Ethernet port. The adapter's light shines a solid green, indicating power.

    • 3

Locate the two narrow holes inches above the rear USB port. Notice your adapter's two protruding slats.

    • 4

Stick the adapter's two slats into the two narrow holes on the rear of the console, orienting the adapter so that the antennae face upward.

    • 5

Turn the two antennae upward to finish installing the adapter.
