How to Play Dragon Age With a 360 Controller on the PC

Playing With a Wired Controller

  Plug your wired Xbox 360 controller into a USB port on your computer. The device should automatically be recognized and ready for use.

  Start "Dragon Age: Origins" from the desktop icon or from your "Start Menu." The game should boot to its main menu.

  Use the controller to navigate to "Controls" in the "Options" settings of the main menu. The controller should automatically be active, but you may still want to edit the key bindings before playing the game.

  Change any key bindings you would like. To change the key bindings, select the key you would like to change, press "A," then select the key you would like to bind to the controller.

Playing with a Wireless Controller

  Download and install the Xbox 360 Wireless Controller drivers. The drivers can be downloaded for free from Microsoft's website.

  Turn on your Xbox 360 controller.

  Press and hold the sync button on your Xbox 360 wireless controller. The button is located at the top of the controller, between the two triggers.

  Press and hold the sync button on the Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver. The button is located on the front of the device. It will automatically sync with your wireless controller.
