Guitar Hero III Cheats & Hints for Xbox 360

"Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock" challenges you to hit notes on a plastic guitar while playing along to songs by well-known artists throughout the history of rock music. Go to "Options," select "Cheats" and hit the corresponding button combos on the game's guitar to use cheats. You also get new guitars and awards once you accomplish tasks in the game.

Abilities
- Press blue and yellow, green and yellow twice, red and blue twice, red and yellow twice, blue and yellow, green and yellow twice, red and blue twice, red and yellow twice, green and yellow twice and red and yellow twice to make your guitarist play air guitar. Enter orange, blue, orange, yellow, orange, blue, orange and yellow to make your character play faster than normal.
Modes and Extras
- Enter yellow and orange, red and blue, red and orange, green and blue, red and yellow, yellow and orange, red and yellow, red and blue, green and yellow twice, yellow and blue twice, yellow and orange twice, yellow and blue, yellow, red, red and yellow, red, yellow and orange to unlock every song in the game. Input red and yellow, red and blue, red and orange, red and blue, red and yellow, green and blue, red and yellow and red and blue to get Performance Mode. You unlock Precision Mode once you enter green and red three times, red and yellow twice, red and blue twice, yellow and blue, yellow and orange twice, green and red three times, red and yellow twice, red and blue twice, yellow and blue and yellow and orange twice.
New Guitars
- Beat Career Mode cooperatively on the Hard difficulty setting to get the Beach Life bass guitar. Finish Career Mode on Medium difficulty by yourself to get the Saint George guitar. Beat the Career Mode on Hard difficulty to get the Rojimbo guitar. Get a five-star rating on every song while playing on Hard difficulty to get the Tiki Face guitar. Get a five-star rating on every Medium difficulty level song to unlock the Jolly Roger guitar.
Achievement Awards
- You get the Blowin' It award and 10 gamer points for failing at least 10 songs. Win at least 500 matches against online opponents to get the Big 'Ol Pile of Wins achievement and 20 gamer points. Get a five-star rating on all of the songs on the Easy difficulty setting to unlock the Axe Grinder achievement and 10 gamer points. Purchase all of the songs in the "Guitar Hero" store to get the Burnin' a Hole in Your Pocket achievement and 10 gamer points.
