How to Get Lei Fang's Red Glasses in Dead or Alive 4

Tecmo's "Dead or Alive 4" brings back many fan favorites as well as new characters to the fourth installment of the popular fighting game franchise. The 2005 release revealed that Lei Fang, who was introduced in the original game, occasionally needs to wear glasses. Like many fighting games, the "Dead or Alive" franchise allows players to select alternate costumes for the playable characters. The series also added the ability to accessorize characters by using button sequences before selecting the character -- Lei Fang's main accessory is a pair of glasses, of which players can change the color.

Instructions

  Play through the Story Mode of the game five times using Lei Fang as your character to unlock her five additional costumes. Each time you play through and complete Story Mode with any character, a new costume is unlocked for that particular character. Lei Fang has a total of seven costumes, five of which are unlocked using this method. The others are her default costumes.

  Start the game using any of the modes of gameplay, such as Story Mode and VS Mode. When you are automatically taken to the Character Select screen, highlight Lei Fang using the directional pad or the left thumbstick. Choose from any of her costumes, including the ones you just unlocked.

  Hold down the left bumper button, "L1," and press "Y" to equip her with a pair of red-framed glasses. Alternatively, change the color of her frames using different combinations of holding down "L1," "R1," "L2" and "R2" and pressing "Y." For example, holding "L1" and "R1" then pressing "Y" turns the frames silver. Simply pressing "Y" by itself turns the frames black.
