How to Hook Up Wireless Headsets to XBox 360s

The Xbox 360 was released in the United States in 2005. Originally, the only headset available was a wired headset connecting to the Xbox 360 controller. However, in 2007, Microsoft released the Xbox 360 wireless headset, allowing hands free communication. Connecting your wireless headset to your Xbox 360 follows a different process than the original wired headset.

Instructions

    • 1

      Turn on your Xbox 360.

    • 2

Press the power button, located on the outside of the wireless headset in between the plus and minus buttons.

    • 3

Press the "Connect" button on your Xbox 360 system. On older Xbox 360 models, the button will be to the left of the power button. On Xbox 360 S models, the button will be located to the right of the power button.

    • 4

Press and hold the "Connect" button on the underside of the wireless headset mic, until the green light on the other side of the headset turns on in the first slot. The wireless headset is now synced, or hooked up, with the system and the first player's controller.

    • 5

Repeat this process for any additional wireless headsets you want to use with the Xbox 360, up to a maximum of four wireless headsets.
