How Can I Check My Commendation Status in Halo: Reach Offline?

Commendations in "Halo: Reach" are awarded to players based on actions performed in Campaign, Firefight or Multiplayer modes. For example, the "Demon" commendation is awarded for completing Campaign missions. Credits are awarded each time the player reaches a new milestone, which unlocks the next level of the commendation. The easiest method to check commendations is through Bungie.net, but it is possible to check the commendations directly through the game.

  Press the "Start" button to open the menu. The menu you need to open can only be found in the main or level-select menus. You cannot access this menu while actually playing.

  Press "A" to select "Player" from the menu.

  Select "Service Record..." from the player menu.

  Select "Commendations..." from your service record. A menu with "Campaign," "Multiplayer" and "Firefight" options appears. All commendations are divided into these three groups.

  Highlight the type of commendation you want to check to bring up the top commendations you have earned.

  Press "Right" on the control stick to scroll through the entire list of commendations of that type.
