"Undead Scout" Costume
This costume is unlocked by defeating the Queen of the Dead. The queen can teleport and create clones as a distraction. The key is to get as close as possible to her for hand-to-hand combat. If you're able to damage her enough, she will teleport back to her throne to recharge. When this happens, equip the golden axe and destroy the symbols on the two opposite columns. Repeat this process until you completely deplete her health. The "Undead Scout" costume will then appear in the character select screen.
Additional Costumes
Defeat the "Firstborn" and "Secondborn" bosses in separate fights to get these outfits. "Firstborn" will only use his arms to attack, while "Secondborn" will only use his legs. Dodge, then charge in for a few quick slash attacks. After a few attacks like this, the enemy will drop to his knees. Use the "knockback strike" attack to launch him into one of the pillars surrounding the battleground. Fire will pour down on him. Repeat this until he is unable to get back up. Defeating "Firstborn" will unlock the "Dylar Tracker" outfit, while beating "Secondborn" will unlock the "Wasteland Scout" costume.
Battle Armor
The "Fiend's Battle Path Armor" is available after you defeat the penultimate boss, "The Last Titan." This boss is actually a combination of "Firstborn" and "Secondborn." Fight him the same way, but you will have more attacks to dodge at once. If the bosses are getting the best of you, go to the health relic in the bottom right corner of the battle area. Stand over the relic and fully recover your health. This trick can be done twice.
Final Fight
To outfit your character in "The Classic Look," which resembles the costumes of the first "Golden Axe" game, you must kill the final boss, "Death = Adder." This boss comes in two incarnations. For the first half of the fight, use your Golden Axe to strip "Death = Adder's" health and regain your own. The best strategy is to stay close and parry his attacks. For the second half, you'll have to kick him toward the pillar in which the axe is stuck. Beating this character will unlock the "Classic" costume and "Brutal Mode," a new difficulty level.
