How to Get Updates for Original XBox Games on Xbox360

The Xbox 360 is a seventh-generation console developed and released by Microsoft in 2005. One of the features presented on this console is the ability to play hundreds of games that were designed for its predecessor, the original Xbox console. If you are playing an older Xbox game that needs an update, you can update it in the same way you do for regular Xbox 360 games.

     Place the Xbox game into the disc tray.

     Navigate to "My Xbox" and press "A."

     Wait for the game to load. It should immediately tell you that the game requires an update.

     Press "A" to update the game. When it completes, the game will automatically restart.
