Titan Money Trick
The Titan money trick is a low-risk way to make money by exploiting the repair system. It requires stealing a Titan armored car before it can be used. These spawn fairly rarely almost anywhere, which makes finding one a matter of luck. Once you have one in your garage, blow it up. The RPG is the most effective weapon to do this. Several thousand dollars falls out of the Titan when it explodes. After collecting the money, open the repair menu. You can fix the Titan for $500, which also refills the money in it. You can keep destroying and repairing the Titan to make money indefinitely. Other than the initial attention you get for stealing the truck, destroying a Titan in your garage does not increase your wanted status, making this a very low-risk activity. It is also one of the more time-consuming methods of making money. Destroying the Titan, collecting the money it drops and repairing it take significantly more time than some of the game's other money-making methods.
FBI Money Trick
The FBI money trick is a fast, high-risk method of making money. It requires raising your wanted level to five, the maximum possible. At this point, the FBI starts sending agents after you. The FBI agents drive a black SUV with flashing lights. This car is worth $5,000, if stolen and sold to a chop shop, far more than other cars. In addition, when your wanted level is at the maximum level, a large number of these cars are sent after you. This allows you to steal and sell these cars in a short amount of time. The only negative aspect of this trick is that you are under constant danger because all law enforcement officers attack you on sight.
Homie Selection
"Saints Row" has two types of homies to aid you: generic Saints Row gang members and seven unique homies you can recruit by completing missions. The unique homies have health similar to the player character, which increase their survivability significantly in comparison to the Saints Row members, who have health comparable to most NPCs. The other main difference is weapons. Unique homies always have the same weapon, while Saints Row members upgrade their weapons as you progress through missions. Early on, this means the unique homies are more lethal. For example, the first unique homie you find, Wheel Woman, has a fairly nice Vice 9 pistol at a point when most of the gang members are still using melee weapons. Later on, the gang members start becoming more lethal. Near the end of the game, Wheel Woman is still using a Vice 9 pistol, when generic gang members start carrying around rifles and RPGs. Once this happens, you should only use unique homies if you have trouble keeping the generic gang members alive.
Unique Homies Not Joining
After being unlocked, you need to call a unique homie to get him to join your party. In some cases, he refuses to come or even pick up the phone. Walking outside sometimes solves this issue. If that does not work, complete your current mission. This eliminates both potential issues that prevent the unique homie from agreeing to join up with you. A homie may randomly refuse to join for no reason. The only way to solve this is to wait a few minutes before trying again.
