How to Get Through the National Guard Depot in Fallout 3

The National Guard Depot in "Fallout 3" contains large quantities of weapons, ammo and exclusive items such as the "US Army Flamethrower Recipe." Accessing the area requires clearing out the surrounding levels and gaining proper clearance, then killing the guards, robots and ghouls that stand between you and the loot.

Instructions

- 1
  Clear the areas surrounding the Rock Creek Caverns to receive the keys and codes needed for the National Guard Depot, specifically paying mind to other military buildings. Kill the two guards in front of the depot and continue through a series of winding corridors and various rooms.

  Kill the robots in your way until you reach the National Guard Training Wing. Pick up the "Tales of a Junkyard Vendor," then proceed to the Depot Offices and pick up a "Duck and Cover."

  Exit the room and continue until you find an electrical switch on the left wall. Throw the switch and approach the Armory Utility Door in the ruined building below. Pick up "Nikola Tesla and You" before continuing to the door.

  Enter the Armor Utility area, then continue to the Armory proper. Pick up the various weapons, ammo and other loot before continuing to the terminal.

  Activate the terminal to open the Bunker door. Keep your distance and kill the "Glowing One Ghoul." Retrieve the loot -- including the "US Army Flamethrower Recipe" -- before exiting the depot and returning to Megaton to sell.
