How to Unlock Recon Armor in ODST

Recon armor is among the rarest armor in all of the "Halo" video game series. Originally intended as an exclusive for Bungie employees, the company began making the armor available to a few people it deemed worthy. At first, this was limited to hilariously unintentional actions and creating great user-generated level maps. In "Halo 3: ODST," Bungie made the Recon armor available to those who fulfilled each of the three "Vidmaster" achievements and then logged onto Bungie's website.

Instructions

- 1
  Acquire the "Vidmaster Challenge: Endure" achievement. Playing on "Firefight" in any map, pass the 4th set (12th round, 60th wave) on a 4-player Heroic co-op Live game. The achievement is worth 25 Gamerpoints.

  Acquire the "Vidmaster Challenge: Déjà Vu" achievement. This is unlocked by completing "Coastal Highway" on 4-player Legendary co-op Live with "Iron Skull" activated without using Warthog or Scorpion. This achievement is also worth 25 Gamerpoints.

  Acquire the "Vidmaster Challenge: Classic" achievement. This requires completing any level on Legendary solo while signed into Xbox Live without firing a shot or throwing grenades.This achievement is also worth 25 Gamerpoints.

  Sign onto Bungie.net using your account name and password.

  Search for your gamer tag in the "Search Bungie.net" text box.

  Click the "Achievement" tab and locate the graphic labeled "Road to Recon."

  Click the button that reads "Unlock Recon." The button will change to "Recon Unlocked" and the armor is now available for in-game selection.
