How to Play Halo 1

"Halo: Combat Evolved" is a science-fiction first-person shooter released in 2001 by Bungie. In this game, you take on the role of the Master Chief as you fight the Covenant, a group of various alien species trying to take over the world -- and succeeding. Before you can try to succeed against the Covenant, you need to know how to handle your equipment.

Instructions

  Place the "Halo" disc into the Xbox or Xbox 360. Load the game to the main menu.

  Highlight "New Game" and press the "A" button on your Xbox or Xbox 360 controller. Wait as the beginning cut scene plays, or press "A" to skip it.

  Push the left analog stick to move the Master Chief around. Push the right analog stick to move the camera around.

  Press "RT" to fire the weapon. Press "RB" to reload your currently equipped weapon. Press "Y" to cycle between your two weapons.

  Press "LB" to cycle through your grenades. Press "LT" to throw a grenade.

  Push the left analog stick inward to temporarily run faster while moving.

  Press the "B" button to perform a melee attack. Press the "A" button to jump.
