How to Enable Photo Sharing on the 360

Microsoft cancelled many of the photo and video sharing options that were previously available on the Xbox Dashboard, but with the release of Kinect, the company reimplemented many photo and video sharing features. You can only share photos or videos that have been taken with Kinect. You can view your uploaded files by logging into your Windows Live ID on KinectShare.com and share the files from there.

Instructions

    • 1

Take a picture with Kinect. Only photos taken by Kinect can be shared, so you'll need at least one on your hard drive.

    • 2

Go to the Dashboard and sign in to your Xbox Live account. You don't have to be a Gold User to share photos from your Xbox 360.

    • 3

Select your avatar from the "My Xbox" panel of the Dashboard.

    • 4

Click "Online Safety" to view your current safety and sharing permissions.

    • 5

Click "Change Settings" to change your current safety and sharing permissions. By default, Microsoft has three profiles set up with varying permissions for each.

    • 6

Select "Customize" to create a custom profile that includes the ability to share photos from your Xbox 360.

    • 7

Select "Kinect Sharing" to view all photo and video sharing options for the device.

    • 8

Click "Allowed" to allow photo sharing on your Xbox 360 console.
