How to Make My X-Box Drum Pedal Work With Ion Drums

The ION Drum Rocker is a replacement drum kit designed primarily as a replacement for the official "Rock Band" drum set. Players who want to connect the original Xbox 360 drum pedal are initially unable to do so, because the connector size used by the ION Drum Rocker for the drum pedal is a 1/4-inch connector and the original Xbox pedal and drum set use an 1/8-inch connector. This issue can be resolved by using an adapter. The drum pedals are interchangeable once you are able to plug either one into the Drum Rocker.

  Turn off the ION Drum Rocker.

  Position the Drum Rocker where you want to use it during gameplay. The drum pedal should not be connected when moving the drum set around. It is the only part of the drum set that is not connected to the base. Dragging the pedal around by the cable when moving the drum set can damage it.

  Plug the connector from the Xbox drum pedal into the port on the 1/8-inch to 1/4-inch adapter. This type of adapter can be purchased at almost any electronics store. It is commonly used because many different audio products use either 1/8- or 1/4-inch connectors.

  Plug the other end of the adapter into the orange port on the center console of the Drum Rocker. This port is also labeled "PEDAL." The drum pedal is now ready for use.
