How to Save Games on an XBox 360 Arcade Unit

The Xbox 360 Arcade bundle comes with a few accessories, including a disc full of arcade demos and a wireless controller. The console does not, however, come with a hard drive, which is the Xbox 360's largest and most popular storage device. To supplement the lack of hard drive, Microsoft packaged a 256 MB memory unit with every Arcade bundle. Use this storage device to save game progress and data.

Instructions

    • 1

      Turn off the Xbox.

    • 2

Insert the memory unit into the "Memory Unit A" slot below the disc drive.

    • 3

Power on the console and load the game you wish to save.

    • 4

Load a single-player level. See your game's specific manual for help. A prompt appears asking you to sign into your profile.

    • 5

Select a profile. This is the profile associated with your saved game data. A new menu loads, prompting you to choose a storage unit.

    • 6

Select "Memory Unit." Your game saves to the memory unit.
