Things You'll Need
Instructions
Cut the flat cabling bundle in half to create a pair of 25-cm cables, each comprising of four wires. Use a pair of sharp scissors or a utility knife. Safety scissors will not be effective in getting through the wires.
Peel off one of the plastic bindings holding the wires together. Since you have two sets of four wires, peeling off one plastic bind and wire will leave you with a set of three wires and a set of four wires. Discard the one lone wire.
Separate the plastic bind 10 cm off the wires so that the wires can be free of one another, but still be bundled at the bottom.
Cut away 2 cm from the top of the plastic insulation to expose the metal portion of the wire. Apply a dab of solder paste on each metal portion of the wire.
Take a heat shrink tube and use the scissors or knife to cut seven 3 cm-length tubes. Insert each wire into a shrink tube.
Apply a pin header to each wire and solder them together. Slide the shrink tube over the top of the pin header. Solder the tube to the pin header with the heat generated from the soldering iron.
Repeat steps 3 to 4 for the other end of the cable. This end of the cable will be connected to the motherboard of your Xbox 360 console. The pin header wires will attach to the Jtag board.
