How to Use a Wave 4 Boot Disc

The Wave 4 Boot Disc is a backup launcher for Xbox 360 that allows users to launch games from a backed up copy of a disc. This means you can preserve your Xbox 360 originals or run imported games not designed for your country's Xbox 360 console. Running the Wave 4 disc is a simple matter of burning the disc ISO and running it as a DVD in your Xbox 360.

Things You'll Need

Computer with DVD-R drive
Software capable of burning from ISO image
Blank DVD-R disc
Xbox 360 game backup disc

Instructions

  Download the Wave 4 self-extraction program from the site (see Resources) and double-click to unzip it.

  Open a DVD-burning program that allows burning from ISO, such as Nero Burning ROM or Roxio Creator. Open the "File" menu and choose "Open ISO" or "Burn Image."

  Double-click the unzipped Wave 4 disc image to select it. Place a blank writable DVD in the disc tray of your computer and click "OK."

  Turn on your Xbox 360 and insert the Wave 4 disc. Navigate to the "My Xbox" tab of the menu and select "Play DVD" to launch a white error message and eject the disc.

  Insert the backed up Xbox 360 game disc you wish to play into the drive of your computer. Select "Play Game" from the "My Xbox" tab of the menu to launch the game as if it were an original title.
