Instructions
Position the Xbox 360 near your TV. The console can sit vertically or horizontally.
Assemble the power supply by plugging the power cord into the brick-shaped power supply.
Connect the power supply to your Xbox 360's power port, located on the back of the console.
Plug the power cord into a wall outlet.
Plug the HDMI cable into your Xbox 360's "HDMI" port. If you have a standard television, you cannot use an HDMI cable. If this is the case, plug the console's A/V composite cable into the "A/V" port.
Plug the other end of the HDMI cable into the TV's "HDMI" input. If you are using the composite cable, plug each of the three connectors--colored yellow, white and red--into the corresponding color of the TV's composite plug-in.
Turn on the TV and change the input to "HDMI" or "A/V."
Turn the Xbox 360 on by pushing the large, round button on the front of the console.
Insert two AA batteries into the console's controller.
Turn on the controller by holding the Xbox logo button until the button illuminates.
Push the controller sync button on the front of the Xbox 360, located to the right of the power button.
Push the controller's sync button, located between the "RB" and "LB" buttons. This syncs the controller to the console.
