Instructions

    • 1

Buy a video capture card that is compatible with your Xbox gaming system. Two options are the Pinnacle Dazzle and Blitzcast Blitzbox; as of January 2011, both video capture cards are compatible with the Xbox 360. If you are concerned about possible gaming lag or compatibility, visit a local gaming supply store for additional help choosing the right capture card.

Install the capture card software onto your computer before connecting the capture card. If your computer is not recognizing the software disc, most manufacturer websites have the software and drivers available for download. Once the download is complete, turn off your computer, Xbox, and television.

    • 3

Connect the video capture card to the computer using a USB cable and turn on the computer. After the computer recognizes the video capture card, connect the card device to the Xbox and television using RCA video cables.

    • 4

Turn on the television and Xbox before running the capture software installed on your computer. The computer monitor will now display the Xbox loading screen being shown on the television. If the computer is not showing the television display, reboot the television, Xbox and computer.

Find the Halo videos that you want to upload to the PC on the Xbox. On the computer, select the card capture software's "Record" option and play the video. Once the video ends, select "Stop" on the computer to end the capture. Save the file as an MPEG or AVI on your computer and share it wherever you want.
