How do I Convert a 360 PAL Game to a NTSC Game?

Televisions around the world use two primary broadcast formats to display TV signals: Phase Altering Lines (PAL) and National Television Standards Committee (NTSC). Most countries stream broadcasts in the PAL format, while North American signals are sent in NTSC. Therefore, if you want to play an Xbox 360 game designed for use in Europe or Asia, you cannot play it on a TV made for an American market, unless you have some way of converting the signal running from the game console to the television.

Blank DVD-R disc
DVD burner
CD/DVD burning software

Instructions

  Navigate to the aFreeCodec.com website. Download the "Enigmah Xbox PAL-NTSC Video Selector" application (See Resources).

  Launch the CD/DVD burning application on your computer. Insert a blank DVD-R disc in the disc tray. Navigate to the folder in which you saved the Enigmah "video_select_v2.iso" file. Click "Burn" or "Write" to copy the file to the blank disc. Remove the disc from the DVD burner when the burn process is finished.

  Ensure the Xbox 360 is turned off. Insert the burned DVD in the drive tray, and then power on the console. Wait for the "Enigmah Video Switcher" utility menu to launch.

  Press the "A" button on the Xbox 360 controller to enable PAL game mode on the console. Remove the "Enigmah" DVD from the drive tray.

  Reboot the Xbox, and insert the PAL game disc in the drive tray. Wait for the game to load, and play as you normally would.
