How to Posture Up When in Mount 2010

"UFC Undisputed 2010" is a mixed-martial-arts video game produced by THQ for the Playstation 3 and the Xbox 360. It uses the license and the fighters of the Ultimate Fighting Championship to recreate the excitement and violence typically seen on a UFC pay-per-view event. The game allows you to use striking, clinching, grappling and submissions to subdue an opponent. Mount is a position when your character is on top of your opponent with your legs on the outside and the opponent on his back. Posturing up high from that position allows you to throw more powerful strikes.

Instructions

    • 1

Take the opponent down to the mat by holding in the left trigger and flicking the right analog stick toward the opponent. The opponent will hit the mat unless he blocks the takedown.

    • 2

Rotate the right analog stick in either direction once you are on the ground to maneuver into mount position with you on top and the opponent trapped underneath you between both of your legs. Use the face buttons to throw strikes while maneuvering to make it harder for the opponent to reverse you. Once you achieve mount, your opponent will be holding the back of your head to pin your face to his chest in a defensive position.

    • 3

Flick the right stick repeatedly away from your opponent's head. If your opponent's head is facing the right side of the screen, you would flick the stick to the left. This will cause your fighter to pull away from your opponent's grasp, though he will still be trying to hold onto you.

    • 4

Hold the left stick all the way away from your opponent's head once the opponent's grip is broken. This will cause your fighter to posture up high on your opponent's stomach so you can drop more powerful strikes.
