How to Get the Longshore Map

Although "Halo 3" comes with a multitude of maps, additional maps can be purchased and installed as downloadable content (DLC). These maps include the challenging Longshore map which, as its name suggests, features a lengthy stretch of coast for players to battle over. Perhaps the most notable quirk of the Longshore map is its asymmetrical layout, giving each side of the combat arena a distinct feel. At the same time, it is meticulously balanced to ensure that everyone has equal footing. The map comes as part of the Mythic II Map Pack.

     Connect to the Internet using your Xbox 360.

     Log in to the Xbox Marketplace. If you don't already have an account, create one.

   • 3

     Purchase at least 800 Microsoft Points. You cannot buy the game using a credit or debit card -- you must purchase Microsoft Points and use them to buy the map.

     Go to the "Halo 3 Mythic II Map Pack" page, and click on "Download to Xbox 360." Confirm that you want to make the purchase. The download will start automatically. When it's finished, you can play the Longshore map.
