How to Use Windows XP On The XBox 360

The Xbox 360 gaming console can be used to connect to a personal computer that has Windows XP installed. The Xbox 360 console is not designed to run Windows XP as its primary operating system and it is not possible to install this program onto the Xbox 360 without potential damage to the console. However, the Xbox 360 is able to perform many of the Windows XP functions such as streaming music and photos when connected to your computer running Windows XP.

Instructions

    • 1

Access the Internet and navigate to the Xbox 360 Media Download Center (see Resources.)

    • 2

Click on the link labeled "Windows XP" on the Xbox 360 Media Download Center page. This will take you to a new page labeled "Listen to Music, View Pictures and Watch Videos* on your Xbox 360 Console."

    • 3

Download the software by clicking on the "Zune" link at the top of the page.

    • 4
