Things You'll Need
Instructions
Click "Start" on your Windows-based PC, type "CMD" in the search bar and press "Enter." Under the command prompt screen, type "ipconfig/all" and press "Enter." Scroll down until you see the Default Gateway and Subnet Mask numbers. Write these down to use for later.
Start your Xbox 360 and navigate to "Settings," then click "System Settings." Select "Network Settings," then "Configure Network."
Click "A" on the gamepad to access the "Edit IP Settings" page, then click "Manual," and then select "IP Address." Change the last set of numbers to something in the 50's, such as "56."
Enter the Default Gateway and Subnet Mask numbers you wrote down in Step 1.
Open a Web browser on your PC and type "192.168.1.1" in the URL bar and press "Enter." If you have a Linksys model WRP400, then enter "192.168.15.1" instead.
Enter the username and password if you have assigned a private one to the router. If you have never adjusted these settings, leave the username blank and use "admin" as the password.
Navigate to the "Port Forwarding" menu of your Linksys router, usually located under the "Applications and Gaming" tab.
Enter three different ports in the menu. Type "88" in the "Start" and "End" spaces, choose "Both" under "Protocol," and type the IP address you assigned to your Xbox 360 in Step 3. Repeat this same layout for two more numbers: 2074 and 3074. You can type anything under the "Application" space to name the setup.
Click "Save Settings" and exit your browser.
