How to Save Music to an Xbox Hard Drive

Xbox 360 gaming consoles are compatible with music CDs, which can be quite convenient if you don't have a CD player. Even more convenient is the Xbox 360's ability to rip music from CDs directly to its hard drive, making it possible for you to play your music without having to put the CD in ever again. If your Xbox 360 hard drive has free space and you have a CD collection, save the music to your Xbox 360.

     Insert the audio CD into your Xbox 360 disc tray, and wait for the music player to initialize on-screen.

     Choose the "Rip CD" option, and deselect any tracks you don't want saved to your Xbox 360 hard drive.

     Press "Rip CD" to begin the copying process.

     Remove the disc from your Xbox 360 when done copying, and play the music files from the hard drive.
