How to Play FIFA Soccer 08 on the Xbox 360

When compared to previous FIFA games, "FIFA 08" for the Xbox 360 features new game modes and increased realism. While mastering the game may take time for some, learning the basics and how to actually play takes no more than an hour or two. The game's manual provides the basic controls as well as some helpful tips and breaks down the different game modes so that you know the differences between them.

  Turn on the Xbox 360, and insert the "FIFA 08" game. If it is your first time playing the game, you may need to wait a few minutes for some updates to be completed.

  Practice the controls on the main screen to get used to them. The "left joystick" will move your player around, the "X" button is to make a pass, the "Circle" to shoot, "Square" to cross, "Triangle" to play a through ball and "R2" for a speed burst. If you want to customize the controls, go to the Options menu, and select "Controls" and click "Custom."

  Select one of the game modes on the main screen. An Exhibition match will allow you to play a quick match against either a friend or the computer. Playing as Manager allows you to make all of the decisions for a soccer franchise, including signing players and calling players up to the team. Play as a Pro allows you to create a player and play matches using only that player. Season Mode will allow you to play through an entire season with one team.
