How to Watch DVDs on an Xbox

Microsoft's Xbox 360 home video game console can play DVD video discs right out of the box. As soon as you set it up, you will be able to watch commercially-available DVD movies on your Xbox 360 in addition to playing video games designed for the system. If the DVD doesn't load automatically, play it using the Xbox 360's menu commands.

     Turn on your Xbox 360.

     Insert the DVD movie you want to play into the disc drive on your Xbox 360.

     Select the icon for the DVD on the Xbox 360 dashboard main menu system. This will play the disc on your console.
