How to Copy Xbox Games Using the Original Disc

With Xbox 360 hard drives available in sizes up to 250 GB, some users elect to copy games to their systems. This allows you to play the game from the console's hard drive. Even after you copy a game to the hard drive, you must insert the game disc in the Xbox to play it.

Instructions

      Insert the original disc in the console.

      Navigate to "My Xbox" from the 360 Dashboard.

      Select the game you want to copy.

      Press "Y" on your 360 controller.

      Select "Install Game" from the page that loads.

      Navigate back to "My Xbox" when the copy is complete. Select the "Games" tab, then "Game Library." Choose the game from the list to play it from the hard drive.
