Xbox 360 250 GB HDD Problem: The Device Is Not Detected

To download items such as games and demos, the Microsoft Xbox 360 uses a hard drive. This hard drive must be firmly connected to the Xbox 360. If it is not, the hard drive will not be detected. To make it able to be detected, you need to plug it back into the system, this time making sure that the hard drive is firmly secured to the Xbox 360.

     Turn the Xbox 360 off.

     Remove the hard drive from the system. Push the button at the base of the hard drive. This unlocks the hard drive. Pull the hard drive from the Xbox.

     Push the hard drive back into position.
