How to Locate an Xbox Serial Number

Although the Xbox serial number is rarely used, it is the first thing that Microsoft is going to ask for if you contact them with problems or issues. It is a good idea to keep this number handy or at least know how to find it so that you will have it available in case of a problem.

      Position the Xbox system so that it can be turned upside down.

      Turn the Xbox system upside down. Lay the Xbox system on a surface that will not cause it to be scratched.

      Look for the label with a barcode on it in the lower half of the bottom of the Xbox system.

    • 4

      Look under the barcode and you will find a 12-digit number. This is the serial number.
