How to Transfer Files When You Have the Red Ring of Death on an Xbox

Xbox 360 consoles are susceptible to hardware failure and the dreaded "red ring of death." Once this has occurred, the console is unable to play games. Although the console's hardware has failed, the attached hard drive and its data are not affected. You can transfer data from the hard drive to a new console with the Xbox 360 Hard Drive Transfer Kit. This kit transfers all data on the hard drive, including saved games, demos and videos.
