Instructions
Turn the controller upside down and remove the battery pack.
Locate the seven screws on the back of the controller. Six are in plain view and the last one is under the serial number sticker where the battery pack fits in. Remove the serial number sticker.
Remove the screws using a TORX T-8 screwdriver. Set the screws aside where they won't be lost.
Pick up the controller and grip it at the top and bottom using your thumb and forefinger. Use your free hand to lift the back off the controller starting at the bottom. Set the back piece aside.
Remove the plastic plates at the top and bottom of the controller. They should lift out easily. Lift the circuit board out and set it aside.
Lift out the foam pads from the areas under the buttons and the directional pad. Flip the controller over and the buttons will fall out. Set them aside.
Remove the two screws holding the plate under the directional pad with a Phillips screwdriver. The plate is held in place by two small tabs. Press on them with the end of the screwdriver and the plate and directional pad will pop out.
Remove the rumble motors from the circuit board by pulling gently on the connectors.
