How to Order Movies From Netflix for Xbox 360

If you're tired of renting movies from a video store or buying DVDs that you only watch once, you can opt to watch movies from Netflix instead. Netflix allows you to stream movies through your computer or through certain video game consoles, such as the Xbox 360. You must have a Netflix account and an Xbox Live Gold membership to access Netflix movies on your 360. Once you download the Netflix application, you can begin streaming movies instantly.

Instructions

  Turn on your Xbox 360 and sign into an Xbox Live profile. Scroll to "Video Marketplace" and click "Netflix."

  Click "Confirm download." The Netflix application will download and automatically install. A box will appear on the screen once the Netflix application is installed.

  Navigate back to the "Video Marketplace" and click "Netflix" again after the application is installed. Select "Yes, I am" when asked if you are a Netflix member.

  Copy the activation code that appears. Visit the Netflix activation website on your computer (see Resources). Enter your Netflix log-in information and click "Sign in."

  Type the activation code into the provided text box. Click "Activate." A confirmation screen will appear.

  Select "Netflix" again under "Video Marketplace" on your Xbox 360.

  Browse through each movie category to select a movie, or select a movie from your "Instant Queue." You can add a movie to your queue by selecting a movie and clicking "Add to Instant Queue."

  Click "Play" once you select your movie. Netflix will automatically adjust the movie to show on your TV.
