How Can I Remove My Intercooler on My Xbox?

The Xbox 360 is a gaming console manufactured by Microsoft. After the release of the Xbox, problems of the console locking up due to overheating were reported by many. The Intercooler was produced to combat the heating problem. It snaps on the back of the Xbox and works by forcing air out of the Xbox, which reduces the temperature. There have been reports, however, that the Intercooler does not cool the Xbox down enough to make much difference. If you want to remove the Intercooler from your Xbox it is a very simple process.

     Turn off your Xbox 360 and then unplug it from the power outlet. Remove the power cord from the back of the Xbox.

     Look for the Intercooler on the back of the Xbox. There are four tabs on the Intercooler. There is one on each side at the top of the Intercooler, and one on each side towards the bottom of the Intercooler.

     Squeeze each side of the Intercooler just above the tabs with your fingers and pull it out. You do not need any tools in to do this.
