Instructions
Xbox 360 S
Disconnect the AC power adapter and all accessories from the console.
Lay the Xbox 360 flat, so that the disc tray is in a horizontal position. Unbend a paperclip so that one side is pointing straight out.
Push the paperclip into the "Eject" slot on the left side vent, above the yellow label. The force of the paperclip causes the disc tray to eject from the console a few inches. Pull the tray out with your hand and remove any disc inside the tray.
Original Xbox 360
Disconnect the power cord and all accessories from your Xbox 360. Set your Xbox 360 horizontally on the ground or table.
Place two of your fingers inside the USB door on the front of the console. Pull away from the case with the two fingers, while pushing the faceplate away with your other hand to remove the faceplate.
Open a paperclip so that one edge is straight.
Locate the small holes under the disk drive bezel. Your console will have either two or three small holes. If your console has a hole underneath the right side of the bezel, insert the paperclip into that hole, otherwise insert the paperclip into the left-most hole. The disk drive pops out enough so that you can pull it the rest of the way. If the neither of the above holes work, insert the paperclip into the last remaining hole.
Original Xbox
Unplug all power cords and all accessories from the console.
Straighten a paper clip.
Look for a small pinhole under the disc drive, near the "Eject" button. The pinhole on some Xbox models is located under the "O" or "B" on the disc drive.
Insert the paper clip into the first pinhole near the "Eject" button. If that does not work, insert the paper clip into the hole under the "O" and then the hole under the "B." You may need to wiggle the paper clip to the left once you insert it, so you can hit the manual eject button. The disc tray will pop out once the manual eject button is pressed. Grab the disc tray with your fingers and gently pull it out all the way.
