Xbox Can't See the PC for the Media Connection

You can connect the Microsoft Xbox 360 console to both Windows PCs and Macintosh computers. Using either a wireless setup or Ethernet cables, the console streams certain types of music files, videos, and photos from specified folders on the computer to your TV, home stereo and the rest of your entertainment center. The Xbox 360 media center is compatible with most operating systems. If the console won't recognize your computer, there may be a problem with the way your computer or Xbox is connected to the network.
