How to Do the Mic in the Recording Studio on Guitar Hero World Tour for XBox 360

"Guitar Hero World Tour" adds vocals and drums to the game series' mix, letting you and up to three friends rock out to such hits as Coldplay's "Shiver" and Ted Nugent's "Stranglehold." The game also features a recording studio component where you can jam out and record new songs that you can upload to Xbox Live. With the microphone accessory or your controller's headset, you can share your voice with the world.

Instructions

    • 1

Select "Music Studio" at the game's main menu, and then choose "Recording Studio" on the next screen.

    • 2

Pick the option to "Create New Song."

    • 3

Choose a tempo speed for your track, and add a bass line and drum tracks if you desire.

    • 4

Connect the microphone or plug a headset into your Xbox 360 controller. Select the "Mic" option from the instrument list.

    • 5

Use the control pad on the controller to operate the controls. Press "Right" to begin the recording and "Left" to rewind to an earlier portion of your track. Press "Right" a second time to stop the recording.

    • 6

Save your track by pressing "Start" and choosing that option. From this menu you can also access the mixer to adjust the volume of accompanying instruments, as well as add new instruments to the mix.
