If you're using an HDMI cable, connect one end of the HDMI cable into the "HDMI" port on the Xbox and connect the opposite end of the HDMI cable into the "HDMI" port on your TV.
Set your TV to its "Component" or "HDMI" video display mode. Turn on the Xbox.
Scroll to the "My Xbox" tab. Select "System Settings." Select "Console Settings." Select "Display." Select "Screen Resolution" and select the resolution (such as 780i or 1080p) that matches that of your TV.
