Using Transfer Cable
Turn off your normal Xbox 360. Press the small release button near the hard drive's front edge and pull the drive away from the console. The drive is the bulging section on top of the console when it's standing vertically.
Plug the larger end of the transfer cable into the USB port on the hard drive.
Plug the smaller end of the cable to one of the USB ports on the front of the Xbox 360 Elite.
Turn on the Elite. When the "Transfer Content" window appears, select "Yes, transfer to console." Select the data you want to transfer from the menu on the left, and then select "Start." Wait for the transfer to complete.
Using USB Storage
Plug the USB device into one of the ports on the front of your original Xbox 360.
Turn on your Xbox and select "My Xbox," then "System Settings," "Memory," and "USB Storage Device."
Select "Configure Now" and follow the on-screen instructions to format the USB device and prepare it for use as an Xbox data device. When the formatting is complete, you're returned to the "Memory" screen.
Select "Hard Drive," and then press the "Y" button. Select the USB device from the menu that appears -- it's called "Memory Unit" -- and then use the menu on the left to select the specific saved data you want to transfer. Select "Start" to begin the transfer. When it's complete, disconnect the USB device from the Xbox 360.
Plug the USB device into the Xbox 360 Elite and access the "Memory" screen. Select "Memory Unit," and then press "Y" and select the Elite's hard drive to transfer the files to. Use the menu on the left to select the specific saved data you want to transfer. Select "Start" to begin the transfer. When this transfer is complete, your saved games will be available on your Elite console.
