How to Dial a Cell Phone on Grand Theft Auto IV for the Xbox 360

While playing through "Grand Theft Auto IV," you, as Niko Bellic, will receive a variety of rewards for completing missions and progressing through the game. One of the first rewards you are given is the cell phone. With this phone, you are able to call any contacts you meet, plan activities or ask for help from friends. You can also enter cheat codes or access the game's multi-player menus. The phone can be used at any time, whether you are walking or driving, and is activated with the press of a button.

Instructions

  Press "Up" on the Xbox 360's directional pad to pull up your cell phone. This can be done in a car as well as on foot.

  Use the directional pad to select an option. Select your phone book to view a list of all the people you have met. Press "A" to choose the person you wish to call. You can arrange an activity, requiring you to pick up your friend, or call for help. Some friends, if they like you enough, come to your aid with free weapons and cars.

  Scroll down through the phone's options and press "A" to open the multi-player menu. Choose the type of game you want to play and press "A" again to go to the game lobby.

  Enter cheat codes into the phone by highlighting the keypad and typing in the correct numbers. Using cheat codes (see Resources), you can spawn powerful vehicles or restore your health and armor.
