How to Name the Pinatas on Viva Pinata for an Xbox 360

The Xbox 360 game "Viva Pinata" features brightly colored pinata species with candy-themed names like Taffly and Cocoadile. When you attract a pinata to your garden and make it a permanent resident, its name appears as the species name followed by a number. If you don't want a bunch of generic pinatas roaming around, you can give them any name you want. Once you've christened a pinata, you'll see the new name right above its head.

Instructions

  Use the left stick on the Xbox 360 controller to move the cursor over to the pinata you want to name.

  Press "Y" to select "Info." Use the left stick or directional pad to move down to "Basic Info" on the "Encyclopedia" screen.

  Press "A" to select "Rename," which will open the "Rename Pinata" screen.

  Enter the name you want to give your pinata in the box provided. Use the left stick or directional pad to move around the keyboard. Press "A" to select the letters, numbers or symbols you want to use.

  Move the cursor to "Done" in the bottom right corner of the screen using the directional pad. Press "A" to confirm your pinata's name. Press "B" to exit and return to the garden.
