How to Set Auto Fire on XBox Controllers

The Xbox game console does not come with controllers that have the auto-fire option. Auto-fire is essentially a rapid-firing technique, in which pushing the auto-fire button releases continuous fire for combat games until you release the button. The function can also help alleviate wrist soreness from having to keep re-pressing the buttons. There are many games that can be much more easily completed with the option. There are third-party controllers, however, that you can sync with the Xbox console and set up the auto-fire option.

     Plug the Xbox-compatible auto-fire controller into the controller port on the console.

     Locate the sync button behind the controller. Press the sync button and press one of the controller buttons at the same time to start the auto-fire option.

     Load an Xbox game you wish to use auto-fire with. Press the button you designated for auto-fire. You have now set auto-fire on Xbox controllers.
