How to Upgrade an XBox Softmod Hard Drive

"Soft modding," is a way in which Xbox owners choose to increase the functionality of the console's hard drive. Users can modify the Xbox operating system to enable the hard drive to store entire games, music and other media. Also, games boot quicker when loaded from the hard drive versus the disk drive. Because the Xbox includes only an 8GB hard drive, many users wish to upgrade the storage capacity for increased functionality.
