How to Stream HD Movies to an Xbox 360 Using Media Center

Microsoft Xbox has a feature that allows you to use Windows Media Center on your Xbox 360. This allows you to stream any content, including HD movies from your Windows Media Center, to your Xbox 360. This then displays your Windows Media Center onto your television or whatever display device you have your Xbox 360 connected to. To play the content from Windows Media Center, you need playable content on your computer.

Instructions

  Turn on your Xbox 360 and go to "My Xbox."

  Select "Windows Media Center."

  Write down the key that appears on the screen. The key is eight digits long.

  Boot up your computer and open Windows Media Center.

  Click "Tasks."

  Click "Add Extender."

  Type in your eight-digit key from Step 3 and continue the setup.

  Go back to your Xbox 360 and go to "My Xbox" and then "Windows Media Center." The screen will now show Windows Media Center.

  Play an HD movie on Windows Media Center.
