Things You'll Need
Instructions
Turn off your Xbox 360 and disconnect all power sources. Lay the Xbox 360 in a horizontal position. Hook two or three fingers inside the USB door on the faceplate and place your thumb on the edge of the faceplate. Push the faceplate away from the console, with one hand on top of the Xbox 360 to keep it from moving. Use a considerable amount, but not all, of your force to pop off the faceplate.
Remove the hard drive by pressing the small button in front of the hard drive, on the top-left of the console. A grey grill will now be completely visible. The grill may appear black, depending on your Xbox 360 model. Lift up the raised part of the grill with your finger. Look through the tiny holes on the side of the Xbox 360, near the grill. You will see four latches holding the grill in place. Place a tiny Phillips head screwdriver, such as a pen screwdriver, into the holes to undo the latches. Once you place the screwdriver through the hole, the latch will release.
Locate a case clip on the front of the console, just beneath the DVD drive "Eject" button. Place a tiny flathead screwdriver, such as an eyeglass screwdriver or pen screwdriver, underneath the clip. Lift up to remove the clip.
Pull apart the front of the case and hold it open to expose a green clip. Place the flathead screwdriver underneath the right side of the clip. Lift up to remove the clip. Remove the "Eject" button from the DVD drive; you may need to wiggle the button out.
Position the flathead screwdriver under the top of the silver "Xbox 360" bezel on the DVD drive. Lift up and the bezel will pop off.
